What should a leader be like? Charismatic, bright, convincing, with a strong character and clearly defined views on life. It seems that only such children came to NUCKIDS! However, only one should play the captain in the musical. How to choose the Leader from the leaders? The directors had to think hard about this question.
First of all, there were so many preliminary “captains”. Gulnara Golovinskaya and Dmitry Bikbaev were even confused, who of all these talented participants will play the role of a teenage leader? One is a vocalist, another is a dancer, the third is a very stylish kid… All of them are good! But then it came to the stage, it turned out that to be a leader in life and solo on the theater stage is a big difference. Voices of vivacious daredevils, suddenly, began to sound unconvincing and quiet, gestures turned out stiff and uncertain… It became clear that plastic, charming nuclear kids will have to work and work on themselves to be able to adequately present their talents on the big stage. So far, the directors have stopped their “picky” look at the only beat-box performer in the team – Alexei from Kurchatov, Gulnara was really delighted with his compositions. But whether Alexei will be able to hold on to such an important position of the leader, that’s the question! I think that such an extraordinary talent of the young “atom” will melt the heart of the strict creative team.
There are also lively auditions for other roles in the musical. The kids will present a real dramatic performance in which good and evil are intertwined (This is still a secret!). Complex drama will require absolute professionalism from the Nuclear Kids. Today the children had a workshop with Tatiana Solntseva to improve themselves.
This time Tatiana taught children how to love. After all, the words “I love you”, which are so important to all of us, can be said in very different ways, with joy, surprise, relief or even pain. The Nuclear Kids mastered this skill with all their effort, because actors need to be able to live in the role and put their whole soul into three small words! Also the children learned a number of articulation exercises, among which the favorite was the lion’s pose with the tongue out and wide open mouth. It is safe to say that an actor is not a boring profession! The kids also received relaxation lessons and fully prepared their bodies for work on stage. “You are not perfect, but unique!” – the teacher told everyone, revealing in the children their unusual vision of the world, and the brightest features of their talents.
And, of course, a musical cannot be a musical without dance! The Nuclear Kids attended Nikita Dmitrievsky’s workshop dedicated to modern ballet, and they say that they are oh-so-very eager to apply the skills and understanding of modern dance in the upcoming show. “Dance is an open endless world. It’s very important that the children understand this. After all, the main thing is to be sincere and believe in what you are doing,” says the choreographer. The children will definitely use their knowledge of modern plastics and expressive skills. There are 26 days left till the first premiere…
