To live a life is certainly a big deal. But is it possible to live it in a few minutes as vividly as it is possible to live it for a hundred years? To be born into the world anew and to understand how it is to see and feel everything for the first time? Bright light of lamps, sound of trees outside the window, unfamiliar faces of adults… In a moment to find out that you can already walk; to feel that you are becoming a teenager, and for a couple of seconds – a very serious adult… Already an adult?! Then you are in control of everything, the world is at your feet and all that’s left is to move mountains! And then reconcile with an old age, bright sadness and pain in the lower back… Do you think it’s possible in 5 minutes? Yes! Because this is an acting piece, which was brilliantly performed by all Nuclear Kids!
Acting is something which no musical lives without, and without which, believe me, it is difficult even in everyday life. “Well played!” is appropriate everywhere: at work, party, or at home with parents, but on stage it’s impossible to do without it! That’s why today the Nuclear Kids had to learn to be born again, only in the “actor’s skin”. Together with director Dmitry Bikbaev and teachers Tatiana Solntseva and Alexei Kostrichkin, the children were reincarnated as embryos, and then immediately became serious businessmen, learned to get acquainted, to defend their rights, to scold, to pity and to love… Having received, as an aid, a small story about the alleged circumstances, the children lived in it, obeying the invented characters, discovering the diversity of acting, this immense field of metamorphoses and transformations. Of course, before this performance the children had professional articulation exercises and warm-up for the whole body, and also learned to concentrate energy and transfer it to a partner. They prepare for the musical very seriously!
It is essential to be an artist not only in a musical, but also on stage. It was about artistry in song performance that David Todua told nuclear kids about, showing by example how to sing a simple childish refrain in such a way that tears came to the eyes. Thanks to the emotional messages of the teacher, the children learned to interpret their own songs differently, to sing, thinking about the words, and to find their place in the musical composition. Changing, according to the text, the mood of the song from cheerful to thoughtful, from carefree to inspired, from frivolous to joyful, David created miracles right before our eyes. The songs acquired an incredible sound, and the participants themselves confessed that they had never sung so well before… And it was all about acting! The lessons taught by the children were practiced in the evening at the concert, held in such an atmosphere that even the walls were electrified with positive energy. You must agree that the ability to work and relax in such a friendly way is a treasure for a creative team! And this treasure should be used in full, because there are 28 days left until the premiere of the musical…
