The anchor is no longer holding the ship and the waves are bouncing aboard. The sails are up and you can give the command “Full speed ahead! To victories, meetings and new shores!” What does it take? Only dancing, because this is the choreographic piece that Maxim Nedolechko puts with “atomic” children.
The theme of freedom, overcoming obstacles, fearlessness and feats was often associated with “big water”. The very philosophy of the sea, its volatility, danger and grandeur reflected the most important changes in people’s lives, great discoveries and unexplored obstacles… And the song Captain by the group 4POST became a symbol of the thirst for will and changes for the better! “We hoist the sails / and follow the course,” it says. However, how to express the relentless desire to turn the world upside down and make it bright, kind and free? Choreographer Maxim knows the answer to this question. Thanks to him, the talented “atoms” have already discarded chaotic movements and perfectly build themselves into molecules of the most complex configurations, feel the rhythm and soul of the dance, and convey emotions not with words, but with their bodies. “Maxim is just incredible. He knows how to work so well that we do not get tired while dancing non-stop. The 1.5 hours of the workshop went like thirty minutes. I haven’t had enough!”, – Nastya shares her impressions. However, the dancer agrees that stylish, modern, very high quality choreography is not only a drive, but also hard work. And Maxim Nedolechko is a teacher, though very cheerful, but he is as demanding as anyone else. “In this dance, every movement must be sharp,” he tells the kids. Nobody wants to look at dying swans!”.
At the same time, while the “nuclear” talents were busy creating the dance with “a brand-new world where ships sail across the sky”, the work in NUCKIDS was going on in 3 other directions: Tatiana Solntseva initiated “atoms” into acting mysteries, Gulnara Golovinskaya rehearsed mise-en-scene with new art and mobile scenery made of cardboard boxes, and David Todua recorded a meditative, lyrical song about her homeland together with Zhenya from Glazov. Zhenya sang so soulfully that she inspired the teacher to make an unusual arrangement, and by late evening the composition, which gives you goosebumps, was already ready. Tomorrow the other children will go to record the vocals. Keep in mind that only 23 days are left until the premiere of the musical…
