Fear of loneliness and distrust of people, fear of parting with material goods and the “golden cage”… How to go through all this while maintaining a kind heart, love, and friendship? The answer is simple: you need to get into the Bunker of Freedom!
The main character of the musical is Tema (Anton from Nizhny Novgorod). The story is told on his behalf. In the plot, he escapes from Bugai’s gang through the maze-like Moscow metro. Finds himself in a secret Communication Bunker, where, he meets a group of remarkable teenagers. They have decided to create their own small country. A country of friendship, understanding, and freedom. “I enter a different world,” Anton says. “I don’t know how I would behave in real life… How would I alone fight the five from Bugai’s gang? In life, I’m quite peaceful… But my character had to rush, and I got into the role!”. However, immediately after the battle, another series of trials begins, both for the fictional character and for the actor himself.. “Those people who promote Fearlessness and Courage as their slogans,” says director Gulnara Golovinskaya, “demand the same from the newcomer Tema. The first test is for trust. Can Tema fall from a height with his eyes blindfolded, hoping for the support of still stranger people?! And he could! The second test is for indifference to material values. Will he give his mobile phone to strangers?! And he did! And the third… Will he guess what unites all the bunker residents? And Tema says – Freedom!”. Of course, it’s easy to imagine how to “get into character” and become Tema, but it’s not the mythical character who has to fall with his eyes closed, but the very real kid, beloved by all Nuclear Kids, Anton. However, according to Gulnara, “he didn’t show even a hint of fear.” “A real man!” says the director. And we didn’t doubt it for a second. “I just trust the kids,” Anton smiles. “I know they’ll catch me, so I fall easily!” But regarding the mobile phone test, the hero and the character have different opinions… While Tema undoubtedly gives away the mobile phone with the only photo of his beloved girl, Anton would hardly rush to do this. “I’d run away! Wouldn’t give it!” laughs the “nuclear” actor. Love is a serious matter, and Anton is no fool! “That’s why we chose him for the role of Tema,” says production director Dmitry Bikbaev. “His heroic appearance, his organic nature, his sincerity is so charismatic! It’s impossible not to fall in love with him! Really, just look how Chick blushes when he talks to her on stage! This is a real hero!” After such compliments, Tema should no longer be afraid of anything… Or almost anything? Today was such a day that could spread a little professional fear over all actors. It was the first preview of the musical! And… all kids coped with the task fantastically! A storm of emotions, real drive, and a flood of positivity – the Bunker of Freedom delivered all these in spades! While there are 6 days left until the musical’s premiere in Moscow…
