“NucKids” have begun their rehearsals on the large stage

“Get ready!” “The first group, come on!” – the choreographer Maxim Nedolechko gives orders from the stage. On the 16th of July the creative group of the project carried out the first rehearsal on the stage of the theater “Balaton” in Keszthely, where in 13 days the premiere of the musical’ll take place.

The rehearsals began with the first scene of the future musical: “the kings of the backstage” or ” black men” are learning how to work with the decorations. These children are responsible for the scenography of the play! The crowd artists are trying to memorize the sequence of movements. You can see for the first time the tiredness in the eyes of “NucKids”. They’ll have to learn how to work as true professionals. But nobody is complaining. It’s 99% guarantee that they’ll become true pros. 

“One-two-three-four. Five-six-seven-eight”, – the participant from Korea Dan Bi repeated smiling in the back row. The girl is very proud of the fact that she’s learnt the numbers from 1 to 10 and the rehearsal for her isn’t only the opportunity to come up on stage, but also to practice her Russian. 

The director Vladimir Karabanov unlike the children takes the rehearsals very seriously.

“Now we’re rehearsing the first scene and we’re going to realize how everything that we – choreographer and director- have created for the present moment, is working. We’ve been training” the kids for the whole week, trying to make them feel their organics,  get rid of their theatrical showing-off and learn their lines. Despite some difficulties I’ve very good prognoses. I believe in the children!” – Vladimir Karabanov said.
