Art designer, scene shifter

What is necessary for succesful musical? Acting, choreography, talented
vocalists and director? Of course, it’s integral part of full musical, but ther
is one important aspect left – decorations! Without them it won’t be clear for
audience, when and where actions take place… Decorations are the same acting,
but with the help of subjects. They don’t let performance to be black and
white, they color it in bright and vivid way to make it dynamic and more
interesting. Well decorated and compacked scene can tell more than acting! And
it must be a professional one to make all of it… fortunately we have one –
Dmitry Gorbas, art designer and scene shifter, a man-saw, a man-drill, the Jack
of all trades!
Only due to him, we may not worry about inferiority and understatement of the
musical. He is always doing something, never without work, drawing, planning,
making everyhting with hands. Like perpetuum mobile! He likes tension, speed
and quality in his job! It took hin just a week to construct and make the whole
labyrinth for the performance! if you are be able to visit the first night, you
will realise that his works don’t leave people indifferent. He does everything
with acuracy, care and great attention! we still don’t know how he managed to
make so much. And what surprises even more is that he can work day and night,
without break, getting great satisfaction.
But unfortunately or fortunately a man should sleep, and he isn’t an exception,
only that’s why he didn’t finish yet! I have never met such a professional.
Dmitry Gorbas is a unique person and everybody who knows him can agree with it!
