Rain on the street first amplified, then calmed down.
The Baltic Sea was dark, the waves foamed, heaping white crests down from the height.
Element cleared up in its best. Leaden skies in the morning covered the
territory of the hotel in Repino. Weather showed its violent temper in all its
glory. The struggle of light and shadow, of storm and peace – theater of nature,
a riot of colors. Echoing the nature, our bright stars made the dazzling show,
illuminating the Baltic coast with bright light of their talents, giving us joy
and unforgettable emotions. We wished these emotions in such a cloudy day.

Star rain poured down on the training area in the
evening, when everyone gathered in the conference hall and stage director read
out roles in a musical in the first approximation. An interesting detail – the
distribution of the roles is not a dogma: every project participant may declare
himself to any role, if he is sure that he will cope. But next time it is
necessary to convince not only themselves, but also directors….

A creative evening with “Presentation of the
delegations” was led by Alexander Nikolaev and Dmitry Simonov, former
members of the project, and now students of the Russian Academy of Theatre Arts,
which this year are Director assistants and enjoy sharing with children their
knowledge, obtained in the creative university. Participants of Nuckids 2015
showed their skills, prepared especially for this evening. The main task was
the most vivid presentation of not only himself, but also of their region. Some
shows have been specially prepared for the evening, but there were improvisations.
Some guys teamed to represent their region, some went on stage alone. Each show
was original, looked at one go. Songs, dances, poems, theatrical improvisation,
both modern and traditional folk, and all this in an excellent performance.
Andrey Smirnov, who won the participation in the project in 2014 year on the
lottery, impressed us with his song and dance steps. Mark from Nizhny Novgorod
told in a rap-poem about his hometown and everybody wanted to rush immediately
to this city and get to know his dad, who works at the newspaper “Country
Rosatom”. Girls from Belarus – Yana and Alena sang such a sweet song about
their city Ostrovec, that the audience believed that this city ranks fourth in
the world in comfort. Guys from Krasnokamensk and Angarsk lit the hall with dances,
no one wanted to sit in their seats, all stood up and danced. Hungarian
delegation shocked everybody with the performance which combined poignant
musical composition of Diana, solo violin of Myrtle and choreographic sketch of
Borie, a small graceful ballerina in a pink dress, which helped Esther.
Participant from St. Petersburg in a duet with a participant from Vietnam
performed Russian folk song “Only we with the horse…” in excellent
Russian. Participant from Polarnye Zory sang a song about her mother and it
became clear that children cherish their parents. Roaring applause filled the
room after each performance. Children supported each other very sensitively and
emotionally. An incredible peace of unity prevailed at the hall. And it was only
the third evening of the project! It says that in the 7 years of its existence
Nuckids turned into a large close-knit family, a team of associates. The
project not only unites, but also does it in a positive atmosphere, where there
is mutual consent and where the world is ruled by love. And any hardships and
vagaries of nature are not terrible for us, when there is so much light in the sincere
eyes.
