Welcome to Hungary!

After a successful performance in Novovoronezh, the project participants flew to Sheremetyevo airport in order to spend the night in Moscow and fly again to their international tour. The flight to Budapest was divided into two parts. The stage props went on the first flight, with the morning group, which, apart from the kids, included the senior male participants of the project, who were responsible for loading and unloading this luggage. It seems to be simple, but at the same time not so easy task to accomplish if taking into account the rules difference and bureaucratic procedures in each country’s airports.

We were greeted as good friends in Budapest, as this was the third time the project came to Hungary! After the airport, the whole group went on a two-hour sightseeing bus tour around Budapest. In two more hours, having traveled 120 kilometers, the kids arrived in Paks, the twin city of nuclear Novovoronezh, the city of Hungarian nuclear workers.

Paks is small, cozy and very beautiful town with an interesting history of the enlightened Hungarian nobility, just like Hungary itself. The water-abundant river Danube flows through the territory of Paks, with turquoise-colored water surrounded by amazingly picturesque landscapes. Life in the city flows as moderately as the Danube. The streets are clean and neat, the gardens are full of flowers, fruits, vegetables and grapes. There are watermelon and melon markets everywhere. People here are friendly and open-minded – the abundance of sunshine gives a positive charge. It is interesting, that you can easily meet our compatriots in the streets of Paks, because the station was once built and maintained by Soviet specialists, many of whom settled there and started families. This is so nice.

The following day children went to the concert hall, where they started their normal routine – rehearsals, finishing details and setting accents, under the supervision of their talented mentors.

To prevent the work from turning into a routine, the organizers provided entertainment for the kids. While part of the team was rehearsing, the other part was swimming in the outdoor pool.

It took almost two days to prepare the performance in Hungary, before it became clear that mastery comes with experience.
