Day of the Nuclear Industry Worker

September 28th is one of the most significant days for all involved in the nuclear field. On the Nuclear Industry Worker’s Day, many enterprises organize festive events and summarize the interim results of the year. In Moscow, traditionally, a gala concert is held at the Theater of the Russian Army.

This year’s concert began with a speech by Sergey Kiriyenko, the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of ROSATOM. He read out the message of the President of the Russian Federation and awarded outstanding persons of the nuclear industry with high state awards on behalf of the President. This was followed by a solemn speech by Alexey Likhachev, the Director General of ROSATOM State Atomic Energy Corporation, and the concert began.

First Oleg Gazmanov and the Nuckids performed with the song Never Ask for Anything. Just two days before the concert the choreographer of the project, Maxim Nedolechko, staged an igniting show, which caused a storm of emotions in the audience. In bright sweatshirts and fashionable sneakers, the Nuckids occupied the whole stage, attracted the attention of TV cameras and received the title of “The Favorite Project” from Dmitry Guberniev, the host of the concert.

The young talents were followed by already well-known Russian pop stars including Diana Arbenina, Polina Gagarina, Lev Leshchenko, Tamara Gverdtsiteli, Sergey Lazarev, Valery Meladze and many others. One of the project graduates, Roman Larin, as part of the group Friends performed together with Alexei Vorobyov with the song I Love You.

However, not only our graduates, but also the participants of the last projects sparkled on stage. They not only performed with Oleg Gazmanov, but also sang backing vocals with ST, the famous Russian hip-hop singer. Six talented female vocalists of the project created a soulful atmosphere with their clear voices and touched the most famous rapper.

However, beside singing with stars, the Nuckids performed two famous project songs: Words, the final song of the musical In the Beginning Was the Word and the Anthem of Rosatom.

Unlike the first appearance, the guys performed Words in jeans and white T-shirts, very minimalistic, in order to focus the audience’s attention on the meaning of the song. In the background, on huge interactive screens appeared children’s photos and pictures with strong words such as: “war”, “love”, “peace”, etc. At the end of the performance, the kids were praised with the kids loud applause and cheers.

The Nuckids concluded the concert with the Anthem of Rosatom. The whole audience was singing along: The stronger Rosatom, the stronger is Russia!

Now all the participants of the Day of the Nuclear Industry Worker have returned to their schools in their hometowns. However, do not get upset about the separation, the new reason for meeting is coming up – a Winter Tale, where in just one week we will need to stage a full-fledged musical performance. Moreover, if there are reasons to meet even earlier, we will definitely let you know!

Keep in touch with Nuckids!
