Information about adding Figure Skating discipline to Nuclear Kids Project

General information

The XIV International Creative Project for Children Nuclear Kids will be held in 2022. The project is organized by the Communications Department of ROSATOM State Atomic Energy Corporation with the support of the Department for Regional Cooperation and the Rosatom Territory of Culture program. The project operator is the Autonomous Non-Profit Organization Nuclear Industry Information Center.

The Nuckids Project is designed to help create and strengthen friendly ties between children of employees of Russian nuclear enterprises and enterprises of ROSATOM’s foreign partners, develop new traditions of children’s creativity, broaden children’s outlook, and popularize nuclear industry among the younger generation.

The result of joint work of children and professional directors is the production of a musical performance, which premieres annually at theatrical venues of NPP cities, Closed Administrative-Territorial Units and large cities of Russia.

About the Figure Skating program

In 2022, for the first time kids will be selected to participate in the XIV International Creative Project for Children Nuclear Kids in the discipline of Figure Skating. Based on the results of the selection, children will go to a summer creative camp, where they will stage a spectacular ice show under the guidance of Olympic champions, and then tour Russian cities with it.

Surprises await already at the casting stage: Alexey Yagudin, Olympic, world champion, and Maxim Shabalin, Olympic medalist, and world champion, will conduct the selection of young figure skaters in the format of a master class.

Children of employees of Russian nuclear enterprises and ROSATOM partner enterprises living in the cities where ROSATOM operates, aged 11 to 16, are invited to participate in the project.

Schedule of master classes:

December 9th, 14:30-15:30 – Snezhinsk (Chelyabinsk region), Sport Center Snezhinsk;

December 10th, 16:40-18:10 – Novovoronezh (Voronezh region), Ice Arena Ostalnaya;

December 14th, 15:00-16:00 – Glazov (Republic of Udmurtia), Glazov Arena;

December 17th, 16:00-17:00 – Obninsk (Kaluga Region), Olympic Reserve School Olymp;

December 21st, 16:00-17:00 – Zheleznogorsk (Krasnoyarsk region), Palace of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

In order to participate in the online casting all candidates shall fully fill in the NucKids Project Candidate Questionnaire, and their legal representatives (parents, guardians, etc.) shall give their consent to the processing of personal data. Electronic forms of documents can be found on our official website. It is not possible to participate in the master class without online registration. Completed electronic forms of the candidate for the project participants and consent to the processing of personal data should be sent to Nuclearkidsproject@gmail.com not later than 18:00 on the day before the scheduled date of the master class. The consent to the processing of personal data shall be provided in hard copy with the signature of the candidate legal representative. Participation in the master class is not possible without preliminary registration.

The final decision on the candidates’ participation in the project is taken by the creative group of the project (director, choreographer and composer) based on the skill level of the figure skaters.
