A master class from the Olympic champion

The first qualifying master class of the Nuclear Kids Project held by Alexey Yagudin, Olympic and world champion, took place today at the Iceberg Ice Arena in Snezhinsk.

The beginner figure skaters – students of the city figure skating section – gathered around the Olympic champion and listened to all the instructions attentively. The girls were mesmerised by the famous athlete, who very lucidly and humorously explained how to correctly perform various elements of figure skating, demonstrated virtuoso rotations and steps and helped if something went wrong.

The technique of exercises and tremendous experience from the famous champion in figure skating will surely be useful for the young snowflakes and will bring a lot of pleasure!  After the event, all kids received a memorable gift from ROSATOM and an autograph of the Olympic champion.

In 2022 The XIV International Creative Project for Children Nuclear Kids will be remastered. We are developing a new project concept together with Ilya Averbukh’s ice show, in which young skaters will also take part.

The project is organized by the Communications Department of ROSATOM State Atomic Energy Corporation with the support of the Department for Regional Cooperation and the Rosatom Territory of Culture program. The project operator is the Autonomous Non-Profit Organization Nuclear Industry Information Center.
