The XIV International Creative Project for Children Nuclear Kids has started. The kids, passed all the castings and admissions, have arrived at the rehearsal camp of the project from different countries: Russia, Belarus, the Donetsk People’s Republic and Hungary.
This year the project rehearsal camp was Aurora Club park-hotel, located in Leningrad region.
“Today my day started very early, I had to meet the children at Pulkovo airport. It was a bit exciting, because now I am not a participant anymore, but a counselor. New participants were arriving every hour. Having gathered together, we went to the hotel, where other kids were already waiting for us. There was a festive atmosphere on the bus – children were all smiling, getting acquainted with the newcomers and recalling previous meetings with the project seniors. I am very happy for the new participants, because the project changes life by 180 degrees! – Egor Lobanov, a volunteer of the project, told about the children meeting.
In the evening everyone gathered in the hall to meet the director, choreographer, stage designer, costume and make-up director, acting and vocal coaches, counselors, volunteers and editors.
Despite being tired after the long journey, the kids were full of enthusiasm and continued familiarizing themselves with the project, but already in the team. Every evening at NucKids there are general meetings in the teams – campfires, where the participants share their emotions and impressions of the day.
“I am first time in this project, I heard about it from my friends and I am insanely glad that I became one of the participants. New friends, positive emotions and a loads of creativity – all of this I will find here! For me, as an active and creative person, the summer on the project will be unforgettable!” – Daria Ishenina, a newcomer to the project, shares her impressions.
The very next day the kids got acquainted with the script and, as they say in theatrical slang, the “reading” with the project director Igor Morozov was successful. The kids familiarized themselves with the characters of the musical and were able to try on their favorite roles.
Now the recasting is in full swing, as well as acting, stage speech, choreography and vocals workshops. For team-building and team spirit boost, the counselors organize games that have become traditional for the project: Zoo, Rope Course, 100 Questions to the Counselor and others.
The final result of the work done will be a musical, which will be presented to the residents of St. Petersburg, Desnogorsk, Moscow and Nizhny Novgorod!
