Winter Tale

Apart from the summer and winter sessions, the Nuclear Kids Project participants have plenty of reasons to meet. Every year, the kids get together to perform at the ROSATOM Person of the Year ceremony, congratulate nuclear industry veterans on Victory Day, and perform at the concert for the Day of the Nuclear Industry Worker. Every year more and more ROSATOM enterprises invite Nuclear Kids to their events: to perform at the start-up conference of the Corporate Academy of Rosatom, Jubilee TVEL JSC (Fuel Division of Rosatom State Corporation), at the festive event of Grinatom JSC in Nizhny Novgorod and at the Day of the Nuclear Industry Builder in St. Petersburg.
On the eve of Nuclear Industry Worker’s Day, Nuclear Kids Project participants came together to congratulate nuclear industry workers on their professional holiday.
“ROSATOM gives us the opportunity to meet together with friends every year. The project provides each of us with a way into life, so it is an honor for us to perform on stage in front of nuclear industry workers, congratulate them on their professional holiday and say thank you for the chance to grow and become professional performers” (Kirill Verigin, Moscow).
Rehearsals began on September 26th. The kids and the choreographer-director of the project Maxim Nedolechko faced a difficult task again – to stage 3 pieces in 2 days. This year the project participants performed three songs: Together, White Light together with Aglaia Shilovskaya, Elizaveta Narsia and Daniil Snopov and I Love You Life together with an Honoured Artist Lev Leshchenko.
“When I found out that we would be singing with Lev Leshchenko, I was stunned, to put it mildly, because this is a man who is honored by the whole country. His songs have become the heritage of generations. I never thought that I would be able to sing on the stage with a genuine legend!” (Elizaveta Platonova, Desnogorsk)
On September 28th, the participants gathered at the Russian Academy of Sciences. After hours of rehearsing on stage, the kids kept on singing in the dressing room, many repeated the words and for a while the song I Love You Life rattled throughout the Academy of Sciences.
“Many people looked into our dressing room in surprise that despite being so young we know songs that were written back in the days of our grandparents. We believe that I Love You Life is a song that everyone in our country should know. It is a song shared by several generations and our task is to pass on the traditions and knowledge to our children” (Vladislav Bychkov, Zelenogorsk).
Some participants were chasing Russian pop stars in the corridors of the Russian Academy of Sciences in order to take a photo together. This year Nikolai Baskov, Oleg Gazmanov, Valeria, Askar Abdrazakov, Larisa Dolina, Sergey Lazarev, Pelageya, the Alexandrov Ensemble and many others attended the concert.
“Larisa Dolina is an idol for me. I am very happy that I was able to enroll in the Academy this year to be her student. This is a serious stage in life for me. When we met her backstage we asked her for advice in vocal training and she immediately said: you need to study a lot to reach the heights you dream of” (Polina Mikhailova, Nizhny Novgorod).
The TV version of the concert will be shown on October 2nd at 12:00 local time on the TV channel Russia-1. Don’t miss it!
The Day of the Nuclear Industry Worker has come to an end, however, very soon we will start the call for applications for the winter session of the Nuclear Kids Project Winter Tale 2022. The preparation and the first shows of which will be held on the Sirius federal territory, and then in Moscow after the new year.
Stay tuned, stay with NucKids and remember – NucKids unites!
