Nuclear Kids revealed all the secrets of the Bunker of Freedom

The NUCKIDS can teach any adult a thing or two. And last Sunday their nuclear energy found a way out … very deep underground! Together with the lead singer of the group 4POST Dmitry Bikbaev young “atoms” went on a super task early in the morning. In the underground bunker on Taganka they took part in the video for the song Captain, which will later become the theme song of the children’s musical Bunker of Freedom.

Of course, it was necessary to prepare thoroughly for such an event. In order to refresh the look the “atomic” kids went to the beauty salon Lanna Kamilina, where they developed new hairstyles and make-up. Only after the fashion session Nuclear Kids went to the Object X. This mysterious place turned out to be an ordinary two-storey building in the 5th Kotelnichesky Lane. But Nuclear Kids know that not everything is as simple as it seems at first glance. And, indeed, under a completely unremarkable building, at a depth of 60 meters, hides one of the largest bunkers in Moscow, which was built in 1954 and was supposed to become the main communications center at the opening of hostilities. There are legends about this facility, one of which is the basis of our teen musical. According to Dmitry Bikbaev, children really lived in this bunker once. “And the aim of the musical – says Dmitry – is to show all parents that the younger generation should be taken care of, spend time with them, so that teenagers do not run away from well-to-do families in such a Bunker of Freedom. They need real freedom!”. Sergey Novikov, the organizer of the NUCKIDS Project, strongly doubts the truthfulness of the legend about the “children of the bunker”, but he says the following about the importance of the musical’s message for adults: “All Nuclear Kids are from families working in the nuclear industry. And this is a very serious industry, so the parents of these children are often at work late. And we wanted to show how important it is for a child not to feel lonely, to know that he or she is loved and will always be helped. Of course, such a brotherhood, as in our play, is a bit of a utopia. But such utopias are so necessary to make the world a better place!”.

Positive energy vibe is the emotional focus of the future musical Bunker of Freedom. That’s why the music video had to have a lion’s share of positive drive, which was brought by the Dance of the Captains choreographed by Maxim Nedolechko. “I didn’t want to make just a dance,” says Maxim. – We had a task to show protest, so I put this protest in every movement. And these superchildren coped with everything. When I first went to the project, I was very worried: how to have time to do everything? Even more difficult: how to have time to do everything well? But when I started working with the kids on the 17th, I immediately relaxed. I realized that everything will be just fine!”

“Everything will be awesome!” – shouted the kids just before the shooting of the video. Well, no doubt about it! There are 15 days left till the premiere of the musical…
