DOING ALL AT ONCE AT NUCKIDS

Cinderella’s stepmother didn’t give her that much to do! Just plant some flowers, pick some grains, and mop the floors… But the one who is worth writing fairy tales about is the creative and organizational team of NucKids, which every day sets records worthy of the Guinness Book.  

Today, Tatiana Drobysheva, the organizer of the project, decided to compare herself with the legendary traveler Willy Fog, who decided to circle the globe in 80 days in the 19th century. The only difference was that Tatiana had a shorter timeframe and more to do. In one day she had to travel all over Moscow in search of a long list of missing props, elements of stage costumes and decorations, as well as long-awaited gifts for couples who won the contest Mr. and Miss NucKids 2011. As a pity, all the items we were looking for were unique, and this made the quest very difficult.

So the journey began with a hunt for a rare microphone stand, which the director Dmitry Bikbaev expected to see in the Cabaret scene, where Dasha Antonyuk performs a jazz song-presentation of the beautiful Chicks. And Tatiana coped with task fast, having found a miracle microphone stand, which looks and sounds as good as Elvis Presley’s stage equipment!

The second task was a shopping trip to youth fashion stores. The lead actor of the musical, Anton (Tema), desperately needed special, cool sneakers to complement his image as a boy from a wealthy family. “It is not a problem to find sneakers in Moscow!”, – you would say. But we now know that to buy sneakers in Moscow of size 47, a certain color and material – if not a problem, then certainly not an easy task, especially when the search is given a maximum of an hour. But even here we coped perfectly. Anton’s hero will get no less heroic snow-white shoes, which he has been waiting for since the time when all the inhabitants of the Bunker of Freedom have already been dressed up.

However, the challenges didn’t end there, but just took it to the next level. In the middle of the August heat, we had to get a knitted rapper hat (all sellers tried to convince us that it was out of the season); a dozen comfortable pants in rap style for dancing; stage makeup, which, according to the young actresses, “is a must on stage, because it emphasizes the face, makes it expressive, hides flaws and, together with the light, turns everyone into beautiful and handsome! “And many, many other things… But Tatiana is the captain of the organizational team, so she can cope with all the difficulties to the best of her ability!

The choice of gifts was the dessert of today’s search. At a long meeting of the whole creative group, it was decided to give the Nuclear Kids couples something that will remain for a very long memory… And what are these magical surprises? The first three places (Vadik and Ksyusha, Lev Ilyich and Nastya, Vanya and Alina) will receive photo frames as a memory of the time spent in the Nuclear Kids country of talents… But not trivial simple frames, but modern electronic ones with a large memory that can hold all the bright photo moments of the “nuclear” life. The prizes of audience’s sympathy are also not inferior to the main gifts: Eugene and Eugenia, Gleb and Valeria will receive stylish and the brightest headphones in Moscow to listen to music with “nuclear” sound. Other couples got a whole “zoo”: funny souvenir flash drives in the form of various animals. And that’s not all! Tatiana prepared delicious Happy Meal souvenirs for each young “atom” as a reward for their hard work as actors! But the “nuclear talents” will receive their presents only late at night, after the last dress rehearsal of the musical, because not a moment of valuable time should be wasted. Because there are only 2 days left till the Moscow premiere of the musical Bunker of Freedom…
