Rope Course 2020

How was it?

Before the course started, all the participants gathered in a tent by the lake and split randomly into 6 groups to choose their captains and team names. After the counselors-guides announced the rules, the children quietly proceeded to the checkpoints holding hands.

There were 8 tasks in total, which had to be completed in 2.5 hours:

1 “The floor is lava” – the teams passed the “volcano” using special signs (sheets of paper on the floor) and collected the items that were next to them – a pen, a log, a room key card, a glass and a medicine case. If even one player was knocked down, the whole team had to go through the challenge all over again. Although no one passed this stage the first time, the second time – many succeeded in the test.

2 “Points of support” – the guys had to stand so that the team had a certain number of points of support, depending on the task.

3 “Throwing the ball” – a stage in which the group split in two, took two blankets and used them to pass balls between each other. To get the highest score it was necessary to score about 10 such passes without dropping the ball.

4 “Stand-up” – the main task is to make the counselor laugh at any cost so that he (or she) would burst out laughing.

5 “Curb” – the whole team stands on the curb, and then all its members – from the captain to the last one – go from one end of the curb to the other, holding on to their teammates.

6 “Nuckids Songs” – the easiest contest of all – the groups just had to remember their favorite tracks from different years of the project and sing them all together.

7 “Swamp” – on the chessboard it was necessary to go along a special route without knowing it in advance. One wrong move and the turn passed to another player in the team. The closer the team was to the finish line, the more points it got for this competition.

8 “Snake” – the whole team had to walk along a certain path with their eyes closed only under the voice commands of the captain.

The results of the competition will soon be summarized and the winner will be announced. But one thing we already know for sure is that on this day the whole NucKids camp had a energetic evening and were able to exhale briefly after casting for roles, vocal and acting classes.

Now the pavilion is being finalized for the film shooting – chromakey is installed everywhere and the windows are blinded. Songs are being test-recorded in the vocal rooms and teachers and the project’s composers continue the lessons. Our designers are working hard and the costumes for the movie and play being tried on daily.
