Nuclear Kids captivated hearts at the International Festival of Youth in Yekaterinburg!

On September, 12th, at the opening ceremony of the children’s programme of the International Festival of Youth, NucKids participants performed the songs Friends and Native Land. More than a thousand activists from the Movement of the First and international participants in the Festival’s children’s programme gathered in the square in front of the Specialized Educational and Scientific Centre. They gave the young nuclear performers an incredibly warm welcome.

On September, 13th, Nuclear Kids presented a concert programme featuring the project’s best songs on the Ural stage. The performance left none of the Festival’s international participants indifferent: throughout the concert, they kept their eyes on the open-air stage located in the heart of the Ural Federal University campus.

On September, 14th, our participants performed the musical Who Are You? at the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall. The young performers and members of the administrative and creative team did an excellent job adapting the production to a new stage that was twice the size of the theatre stage. The story resonated deeply with the Festival’s participants and volunteers, as it reflects the events and emotions being experienced by young people from around the world in Yekaterinburg these days. Tatyana Terentyeva, Deputy Director General for Human Resources at ROSATOM State Atomic Energy Corporation, said: “Kids, your energy is enough to inspire every Festival participant to conquer any summit!”

The evening of September, 14th, concluded with a vibrant performance by NucKids in the finale of the show Only in Russia. World in Motion. Young people from around the world lit up their phone flashlights during our participants’ performance of the song Only Peace and Love, creating a memorable finale to the show.

Throughout their time at the festival, our participants also visited the stands of various companies, associations and organisations. There they took part in educational meetings with Sergey Novikov, Chief of the Presidential Directorate for Social Projects of the Russian Federation, and Olga Golyshenkova, President of International Association of Classification Societies (IACS) and Chair of the Commission for Education, Upbringing and Protection of Historical Memory of the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation.

Throughout their time at the Festival, our participants also visited the stands of various companies, associations and organisations. There, they took part in educational meetings with Sergey Novikov, Chief of the Presidential Directorate for Social Projects of the Russian Federation, and Olga Golyshenkova, President of MAKO Group, and Chair of the Commission for Education, Upbringing and the Preservation of Historical Memory of the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation.

The young nuclear performers also found time to record two songs in the studio and appear in music videos produced by Timur Vedernikov, author and producer of the nationwide project #MUSICTOGETHER. Everywhere they went, our participants demonstrated outstanding skill and professionalism. The emotions and memories from this trip will undoubtedly stay with them for a lifetime.
