NUCKIDS PROJECT. ANSWERING THE QUESTIONS.

The third creative camp within the framework of the International Creative Project for Children Nuclear Kids will be held in July-August 2011. The project operator is the Autonomous Non-Profit Organization Nuclear Industry Information Center commissioned by the Rosatom State Atomic Energy Corporation. The Nuckids Project is designed to help create and strengthen friendly ties between children of employees of Russian nuclear enterprises and enterprises of ROSATOM’s foreign partners, develop new traditions of children’s creativity, broaden children’s outlook, and popularize nuclear industry among the younger generation. Children of employees of nuclear enterprises in Russia and other countries aged 11-15 are invited to participate in the project. Since the project will involve children from Bulgaria, Vietnam, India, Turkey, and Ukraine, knowledge of English is required. The selection of the Russian project participants will be conducted in person in two rounds: in the regions of residence and in Moscow. Regional selections will be held in the form of a talent contest or open casting in the following cities:
1. Angarsk, Irkutsk region (talent contest),
2. Novouralsk, Sverdlovsk region (talent contest),
3. Desnogorsk, Smolensk region (open casting),
4. Kovrov, Vladimir region (talent contest),
5. Kurchatov, Kursk region (open casting),
6. Chelyabinsk (open casting),
7. Novosibirsk (talent contest),
8. Zelenogorsk, Krasnoyarsk region (talent contest,
9. Novovoronezh, Voronezh region (open casting),
10. Elektrostal, Moscow region (talent contest),
11. Murmansk (open casting),
12. Seversk, Tomsk region (talent contest),
13. Glazov, Udmurt Republic (talent contest),
14. Nizhny Novgorod (open casting),
15. Sosnovy Bor, Leningrad Region (open casting).
The winners of the regional auditions will be invited to the final casting in Moscow. It will take place in May 2011 in the form of an individual creative competition for everyone who wants to join the NucKids Project. To participate in the final casting, all candidates must fill out the application form of the NucKids Project participant and send it to the organizing committee of the project. Application forms are accepted not later than 10 days before the final casting in Moscow through the system of reception organized on the project website at: www.nuckids.ru/form.
Two photos of the candidate (full-length and portrait) should be attached to the application form. If desired, audio and video materials of the candidate can be added. Technical requirements for photos: jpg, at least 2000 pix, size – at least 2 Mb. To send files correctly, they must be archived and have the .rar or .zip extension. Technical requirements to the audio recording: mp3 format, bitrate is not less than 128kb/s, size is not more than 8 Mb. The name of the file should look as follows: Last Name of Candidate_First Name of Candidate_Candidate_City_Song Title. Example: Ivanov_Alexander_Zarechny_On the Bank of the Sky.
To send audio files correctly, they must also be archived and have the .rar or .zip extension. Technical requirements to the video: the video shall be made in the most readable quality, but not exceeding the size of 40 Mb. Timing of the video: no more than 7 minutes. Formats: mp4, avi. The organizers of the selections reserve the right to use the received materials for the purposes related to the NucKids Project.
