They received 14 extraordinary e-books, shared thousands of kind words and wishes, millions of confetti, and enormous cakes. Because August 6th is not a typical day for Nuckids It’s the Birthday Party Day!
Usually, birthdays are celebrated with family and friends, in your hometown, and also at home, according to some familiar script… But with Nuckids, things are different. Only extraordinary kids come together to create a musical, so the celebration had to be same extraordinary! With songs, dances, and creativity, it was a truly nuclear Birthday Party Day! In an improvised tent on the shores of Lake Hope, a surprise awaited the 14 birthday kids: plenty of smiles, tinsel, and a spectacular show put on by their nuclear friends and the creative team.
Let’s start by naming all those “born” during Nuckids: Alina, Lesha, Marina, Katya, Roma, Gleb, two Sashas, Ilya, Zhenya, Lora, Parta, Anya, and Vlad… These lucky ones received original gifts from each team, which prepared their own lively dances, songs, and greetings. Yes, Nuckids sure knows how to have a blast! So much that it becomes a lifetime memory, as Lev Ilyich says: “You’d better take advantage of an opportunity like this when it comes!” After all, it might be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be at a party like this, surrounded by all your best friends and having so much fun! There’s not even a difference between the birthday kids and the guests – it’s a party for friends!”
Of course, the festive mood began to grow heated by the Happy Birthday wishes from their favorite teachers. Special recognition goes to acting teacher Tatyana Solntseva, who composed an “Ode to the Birthday Kids.” Naturally, she delivered it with all her acting talent! But let’s find out the conclusion Tatyana reached in her ode, where she listed all the virtues of the Nuckids participants in a hyperrealistic style. “You guys are awesome! You’re the best! I mean it!” Tatyana admitted sincerely. “I wish you stay strong and lucky as a reward for your dedication and commitment! And on top of that I wish you love and happiness!” What else can we add after these words? Bring on the gifts! As per Zhenya’s point of view, they were “great, great, great,” “extraordinary,” as Ilya thinks, and “very useful, practical, and just awesome,” to Vlad. These were ultra-modern e-books, a truly valuable gift for such super-talented kids!
After the gifts, it was time for the birthday cake… “And then what? — you might ask— back to work?” No, today at Nuckids, it’s all about fun! From the morning, everyone was eagerly anticipating another event — a contest for the best couple of the project, the most charming and attractive Nuclear Mister and Miss. Fourteen pairs were selected, and throughout the evening, they demonstrated their talents: singing, dancing, and performing as hair stylists and fashion designers. The judges — Maxim Nedolechko, Gulnara Galavinskaya, and Tatyana Drobysheva and Solntseva — had to think twice before choosing the winners. The “nuclear” talents performed in their style: everyone was simply spectacular! However, the best couple of the project turned out to be…(drumroll!)… Vadik and Ksenia. Their take on Titanic simply won over the judges. Second place went to the most unusual couple in the contest — Lev Ilyich and Nastya. The honorable third place went to Vanya and Alina. And the two Audience Choice Awards were claimed by the charming and talented couples of Evgeny and Evgenia, and Gleb and Valeria. The victorious “nuclear” couples went to the disco to celebrate with all the Nuckids! They had a blast today, but tomorrow it’s back to work with renewed energy, as there are only four days left until the musical’s premiere in Moscow…
