August the 17th is the holiday for relatives and friends of NucKids, who count the hours until the meeting with their beloved children, lost in rehearsals and tours. For the nuclear artists themselves, the day of farewell to the project was painted in the sad gray-blue color of the evening Moscow sky over the ship Port Arthur, where the project participants said goodbye until next year.
STIERLITZ’S CAR AND THE HITS OF NUCKIDS
Before the boat trip, the hosts prepared a meeting with the capital for the kids, who had given Moscow a wonderful performance the day before. NucKids walked around the center of Moscow, visited the Novodevichy Monastery and learned about the history of the domestic film industry in the museum of the legendary Mosfilm. The children learned how makeup is applied, saw Stirlitz’s car and a tank from The White Tiger, Lyudmila Gurchenko’s costumes and plaster masks of living and deceased actors.
After the excursion, the “atomic” kids had another movie – the farewell series of the sensational blockbuster NucKids 2013. The first tears on the ship were shed even before sailing – the project participants said goodbye to Sasha Kochergin and Gleb Borisov, who were waiting for the plane to Novosibirsk.
Then, a kaleidoscope of touching, sad and joyful moments, which will be put together into a unique movie in the memories of each of the children and adults.
Some will remember the energetic dances of the Dancer ensemble and Masha Zavizina’s acrobatic tricks, some – the singing of Vlad Tashbulatov, Roman Larin, Dasha Antonyuk and Sasha Nikolaev, Virag Lednyeczki and Iyesh Noemi, and some – t he performance of Kristina Kuznetsova and the “shorties” Dasha and Natasha Nikolaev.
Most adults will remember tearful eyes of Anton Titov, heavily experiencing the farewell to the project, and the cheerful smiles of Vlada Grashkina, Alina Kibis, Dima Simonov and the “farewell record holder” Vitya Zakalyapin, who convinced the newbies – the one who became a real part of NuсKids cannot, by definition, part with the project.
“You are all just great. The teachers gave you their maximum, and each of you realized yourselves as much as you wanted and were able to. Yesterday you strained every sinew, and in the hall, there was neither a single free seat, nor even a single free square meter! It was your hour of triumph, and I want to bow to you. You are everything to us!”- Sergey Novikov, the author of the project idea, summed up the results.
As proof that the ways of NucKids are inscrutable, and none of the participants knows where they will find their way, Sergey Novikov told the story of Margarita Spichka, a participant of the project in 2012, who conquered the project team with her performance of the song I Will Draw You (Namalyu Tobi). At the farewell concert in 2013, Margarita did not sing the song alone, but in a duet with Sergey Novikov.
ADULTS ROCK!
While the adults and older children were convincing the newbies, that all separations are destined for reunions, the project leader Anna Trapeznikova brought out a magic backpack to determine the names of the lucky ones who are guaranteed to become NucKids-2014. With just three easy motion, the youngest guests of the ship, Erika Nedolechko, Masha and Nikita Novikovs, pulled out pieces of paper with the names of Boglarka Budai, Andrey Korchukov and Marina Dudorova from the backpack.
“Go and look behind your screen, wake up this world, and it will wake up larger!” – Ilya Korelsky sang a cover version of the NucKids hit, greatly amusing Dmitry Gorbas, the author of the idea of screens as the main element of the scenery, sitting next to him.
Ilya was not the only one who practiced the art of parody at the farewell party. The main praise in this field was given to the ensemble of counselors headed by Project Manager Anna Trapeznikova and Executive Director Anna Koneva, who performed as soloists. The adults blew up the hall by performing their own versions of the songs Editorial Staff, Tango and “Dancing With Puppets” from the musical We.
SEE YOU…AT THE WEDDING?!
The ship Port Arthur slowly sailed along the river, adults and children sang NucKids hits of different years, admiring the most beautiful views of Moscow.
And do these children keep in touch after the project?” – László Lőrincz, the leader of the trade union organization of the Paks NPP employees, who was present at the farewell party, was interested on the upper deck.
When he knew that seniors regularly visit each other, and the love of Sasha Nikolaev and Nastya Lyamtseva has been withstanding the distance of more than three thousand kilometers for two years, he wondered:
“How many people will be invited to the wedding if they get married?!”
The festive fireworks reminded the participants that it was time to say good-bye. The splashes of fireworks scattered across the sky, painting the dark horizon in multicolored gradations of hope.
The musical WE will not be performed again, but WE definitely still have everything ahead!
See you again soon!
