On April 5th, as part of the Easter Joy charity event of the Big Heart charity campaign by Arguments and Facts newspaper, the Chelyabinsk Nuclear Energy Information Center hosted a master class in egg painting. Children who came to the regional auditions of the International Creative Project for Children NucKids 2014, as well as members of the Inventor Club for preschoolers, took part in the event.
This year the participants of NucKids auditions in seven Russian cities joined the Easter Joy campaign of the Charity Foundation Big Heart by Arguments and Facts newspaper. The goal of the project is to help raise money for the treatment of Veronika Bandenkova, who suffers from cystic fibrosis, a severe hereditary disease.
At the Chelyabinsk Atomic Energy Information Center, Evgenia Romanova and Evgenia Fedorova, students of the Department of Service and Technology of Artistic Processing of Materials at South Ural State University, helped the participants of the charity event. The students showed how to apply and use various decorating and painting techniques, creating three-dimensional and interesting patterns. Tatyana Nikitina, Minister of Social Relations of the Chelyabinsk Region, and her deputy, Tatyana Ilyina, joined the master class and considered the event important and necessary.
“The most important thing why we are here today is to help Veronika. To make Veronika feel our care and help.” – said Tatiana Nikitina.
Tatyana patiently created her own piece of art, which will help to implement the idea of the charity project in the labor-intensive technique of wrapping with colored threads.
Rosatom State Atomic Energy Corporation will sell the collection of Easter eggs created in Chelyabinsk at the auction. All money raised from the sale of children’s handicrafts will be donated to the Big Heart Foundation to purchase a vibration jacket for Veronika Bandenkova.
NucKids is the International Creative Project for Children of the Communications Department of the ROSATOM State Atomic Energy Corporation, which annually brings together talented children of nuclear industry employees from Russia and Rosatom’s foreign partners to stage a bright musical show. The project aims to strengthen friendly ties between children of nuclear industry employees from different countries, develop creative skills of talented children, and popularize nuclear energy among the younger generation.
