Nuckids in Viborg

Sunday! There is no morning exercises! Late breakfast! You can ask: What’s
going on? It’s not for Nuckids! But you are not right, everybody knows that
sundays we have excursions, and today isn’t an exeption! Settled in buses we
left for an old european city not far from Saint-Petersburg, that was founded
by Swedes, Viborg. Children were lucky enough to visit this city. On the
way they were listening to the guide with great interest and asked questions.
They tried to imagine the city. The guide was surprised, and even more there in
the city, because kids didn’t loose their interest!
We visited the ancient castle of Viborg, kids searched every corner of it, and
at the end they climbed the highest tower of the castle and got magnificent
view from the top. You should saw their eyes, full of excitement and surprise!
After that children went walking in the city, along old european streets. They
passed the knight’s house, the trade Guild and merchant’s house, which were
kept till nowadays. But the most interesting was as usual ahead, we visited the
sheep prison, yeah… exactly! In the middle age they caught sheep, which got
lost or were wandering at night, and put them into this prison till the
sheperds came to take them beck, but paying the fee before. And some might
think that we have ridiculous laws!
At the end of our excursion we got at the theatrical Knight Tournament. People
were dancing, wearing traditional, ancient clothes, fighting with swords and
playing games. Unfortunately we had to leave earlier, because of pouring rain
with thunder. But the guide stayed with us and told more fascinating stories
about the city and old times. The rest of the day, kids were discussing their
trip and sharing impressions!
