PREMIERE OF THE SONG
31.07.2017

Thanks to the tour, the participants of the NucKids Project literally experienced what it is to be a professional artist. Different cities, and therefore different spectators, flights and various time zones. All this is an integral part of the kids’ creative life, which gives them many positive emotions.
We arrived to Zheleznogorsk, the next city of our tour. Zheleznogorsk is one of the closed cities, where defense, nuclear and space industry enterprises are located. Until recently, it was not marked on the map and had such names as Krasnoyarsk-26, Mailbox 9, etc. This secret town became the second point of our incredible creative journey.
When we arrived at the central square, we immediately realized that we were very welcome here: the Cultural Center had a huge poster of NuclearKids hanging on it. We felt very pleased that we were treated here as dear guests.
Having arrived at the recreation center Above Yenisei, we did not wait long and went on a sightseeing tour of the city after lunch. Taking into account that this city is closed, we were especially interested to see all its sights.
The first stop was at an artificial lake with a beautiful view of the city. We had 10 minutes to capture the unique nature of Siberia and the views of the secret city.
Next, we stopped at the Victory Square. Probably every city has a square with this name. It mesmerizes with its solemnity and gravity. It has been a firestorm of emotions!
“I liked the Victory Square because there is a Stella there in memory of people who defended not only their own, but also other countries”.
Le An Vu
15 years old from Hanoi, Vietnam
Next, we arrived at the central square. It turned out that in Zheleznogorsk it is not allowed to take photos of the administration and adjacent buildings. This surprised us a bit. Despite the strategic importance of this city, on the square we could see all the beauty of Zheleznogorsk. It was in its houses and, of course, in its residents. It was so nice to see children playing on the square and looking at us with surprise. They are surely waiting to meet us.
The excursion ended with a fascinating visit to the information center of the Mining and Chemical Plant. After visiting there, we learned the importance of this enterprise for our country. We learned the history of the plant and various interesting facts. For example, the enterprise was so secret that children did not even know where their parents worked. In front of the central control panel of the NPP, we felt ourselves employees of the nuclear industry. Since the kids live in nuclear industry cities themselves, they were very interested. We were able to study the structure of the nuclear plant, thanks to its miniature model, went on a train, which takes employees to work, and watched an informative video about the life of the Mining and Chemical Plant.
“The moment I remember most of all was when the tour guide measured our radiation level with a special instrument. After a long but very interesting procedure, it turned out that my internal radiation level was higher than the radiation level outside. It was very curious and informative!”
Petrov Oleg, 14 years old from Saint Petersburg
Here we were acquainted with Zheleznogorsk. We saw its sights and learned a lot about the history and production of the Mining and Chemical Plant. Now the rehearsals and final runs on the new stage are starting. The premiere of the musical Imagineers of the XXI Century will be held in Zheleznogorsk Cultural Center on August 11 at 19:00. We are waiting for an unforgettable meeting with our audience!
