All day of July 5 NucKids team spent in travel. We
visited St. Petersburg and Peterhof. Emotions were off the scale, and the
impressions were very bright. They are reflected in the works on the topic:
“St. Petersburg and Peterhof with our eyes” Our editors carefully
read everything, corrected spelling, but the style and the content are
unchanged. Let’s start from the poetic creativity:
Oleg Golikov, Chelyabinsk
Plagued by doubt
At the beginning of our journey.
There have been hardships, disappointments,
But the best is yet to come.
And the ocean of wonderful emotions,
We experienced everywhere.
And we do not need sailing directions,
To find the way to our star.
Someone thought sleepless nights
Taught with us the pas de trois,
And early in the morning, with candles,
Snoozed, wrapped in a boa.
And those who break the peace
Was strictly punished
We had some heroes here,
But they were dropped on, I bet!
And our motto is not changed,
And ways are not parted,
After all, trash is our feature,
And it is the banner we carry.
But all in all, it was so wonderful,
It cannot be transmitted in poetry.
Everything was sincere, sky-blue,
Native people around us, what to say?
And there is no better family in the world
Than our friendly family Nuckids,
Children are always happy here,
And light of their faces pleases all…
(Editor’s note: not really
about the trip, but, of course, great!)
Mark Edelstein, Nizhny
Novgorod:
We went to Peterhof,
Visited the castle,
There are fountains, there are moat
It is an absurdity – not to go there,
And we went there,
And we liked it very much,
It was fun,
We don’t even closed our eyes.
It was a little boring fortress,
But in general it is not bad!
There are many different exhibits there,
We are now its fans!
We went for an hour to the restaurant,
And ate delicious,
Our life is very good,
And it is not boring at all.
We went to Museum of Artillery too,
Looked at the tanks and guns,
There is a paradise on earth for boys,
We visited everything there
We walked cool,
Had fun, played
We liked everything!
For all of this, Nuckids we thank you!
(Editor’s Note: Mark is the only one who noticed that
the dinner was delicious. And it was really delicious !!!).
We turn to prose.
Kushnareva Elizaveta,
Moscow:
Hello! My name is Lisa and I am very glad that I got
on NucKids project. I like to be here very much. We recently went on a trip to
St. Petersburg and Peterhof. In St. Petersburg we went by bus. As we drove, our
guide told us a great number of facts from the history of the city. We visited
the museum of artillery, Peter-Pavel’s Fortress, and in it – Peter and Paul
Cathedral. After that we quickly got to Peterhof on a small ship. It was very
beautiful. A huge number of fountains simply amazed us. We also visited the
caves and saw pipes through which water flows to the fountains. There was a
small trick-fountain. We traveled back by bus. On the tour I really enjoyed it.
I learned many new and interesting. Thank to the organizers of the tour.
(Editor’s note: Lisa listed all modes of our transport
very correct, however, simply “small ship” would have sailed to
Peterhof for a long time. We sailed on the “Meteor” Or “went”?)
Butakova Anastasia, Angarsk:
We recently went on a trip to St. Petersburg and
Peterhof. Most of all I liked the tour to Peterhof. It was very beautiful.
Fountains just struck me, I’ve never seen anything more beautiful. I especially
liked the trick-fountains, we were all wet. Guide in Peterhof told very
interesting, I remember most of what she said!
I liked the tour in St. Petersburg too, but not like
in Peterhof. And the tour guide on the bus (it seems to me) was not very good.
Because I understood a little, and it was hard to see something from the bus.
But all in all, it was interesting and I learned a lot. Actually, I enjoyed it.
(Editor’s note: wishful thinking… however, nobody got
wet – definitely..!)
Shcherbina Irina, Angarsk:
I really liked the look of St. Petersburg and
Peterhof. There was a lot of fountains. But I especially remember the trick-fountains.
Those who passed next to the trick-fountain was wet in a moment. I had fun!
(Editor’s note: Again about trick-fountains, and again
“wet”. Well, yes, a little drizzled, but nobody get wet !!!)
Miklis Yana, Belarus:
Morning started not very good (I was sleepy).
Breakfast buffet was very varied and tasty. Then we boarded on the bus and went
to the Peter-Pavel’s Fortress. I liked it very much. I remember the mask for
people who were guilty. Then we went to the cathedral. In the cathedral I liked
chandeliers. After all, we sailed on the ship to Peterhof. When we came out of
the ship, a cold wind blew. We walked down the street and suddenly saw a
beautiful and high fountains. They were built by Peter the Great. We met the
guide. It turned out that Peter the Great was a joker. When we walked through
the park, we were sprayed by water. When we went back all felt asleep, but time
has passed. And here we are back again.
(Editor’s Note: We are not quite sure that it was
Peter the Great who built all the fountains in Peterhof. We are not sure at
all. But chandeliers… Chandeliers are really amazing! And Peter the Great is
a real joker!)
Alexandrov Sergey, Angarsk:
I was in St. Petersburg and Peterhof. I liked the
architecture of Peterhof and it was very interesting to listen about its history!
I especially remember the moment when we passed under the water in a special
tunnel. And I remember the trick-fountain.
(Editor’s note: This tunnel is the part of the complex
to protect St. Petersburg from flooding. There is a channel of 273 meters
length, 200 meters wide and 16 meters depth over him, through which the St.
Petersburg get large ships).
Listratova Daria, Sarov:
June 5, 2015 with the NucKids project participants I
visited St. Petersburg and Peterhof. City on Neva River captivates me with its
palaces, granite embankments and regal grandeur.
I can’t describe the feelings that I experienced when
I saw Peterhof. This is a fairy tale for the eyes. A huge number of golden
fountains, lots of sculptures. You look and you can not look enough at such
beauty. What a beautiful work of masters, what a beautiful design!!! Miracle,
not Peterhof.
Vivid impression left tour of the Peter-Pavel’s
Fortress. Views of this museum complex are just wonderful. Dive into the
Petrine era, feel heroism of builders of the fortress – well worth it.
I was conquered by the Military Historical Museum of
Artillery, although I’m not a boy, and not fond of military equipment. Many
exhibits, missiles, guns and other weapons. A wonderful museum, which, in my
opinion, are very few in our country.
I was very impressed with this place, because they are
impregnated with history, which you need to know.
(Editor’s note: not all of us are boys, but we also
are conqueredby the Artillery Museum. Special thanks to her for the concept of
“Peterhof design” sounds very modern!)
Mashpanina Alisa,
Zelenogorsk:
I would like to share my impressions about the tour.
The first thing I would like to tell is about I did
not like. I did not like the excursion to the Peter-Pavel’s Fortress. I don’t
like guns and don’t like to go to temples and churches. I really liked the
excursion to Peterhof, because I really love the fountains. I was very
surprised when we were shown what’s inside the fountain. It was the most
interesting part of the tour Overall, the tour was good.
(Editor’s Note: Well, to be precise, in the Peter-Pavel’s
Fortress there is not so clear with the weapon. Not enough for him there. Quite
another matter – Artillery Museum. And Peter and Paul Cathedral is the resting
place of Russian tsars, not just the church. But we also liked the fountains!!!)
Ivashko
Aliona, Belarus:
Morning, hmmm … .. I’m not used to wake up at 8:00,
so I slept in the bus (and snored a bit, like my dad). When we arrived at the
museum, I did not like the weather, and when we entered the museum I was a bit
bored. I was attracted only by costumes and guns. I imagined how I stand near
the Tsar Cannon in a suit of general and light the flame on the rope. And then…
wind blows my fire. When we got into the room, where the stuffed horses are, I
was having fun. I stared at the stuffed horses and had a feeling that they can
turn heads and say “Hey, why are you so daring, huh?”, and when I saw
masks, it was more fun! We walked down the street and I felt behind and in
front views of passers-by, drivers, even dogs! And in this confusion I entered
the cathedral. When I was told that under me there are people who never [to
breathe, to look, to live], I was shocked, then frightened, and then a little
bit sad. But the biggest impression I had in Peterhof. First of all, we got
into the “Meteor” and rushed off … When we arrived I was struck by
the beauty and fountains. It was so amazing, fascinating, beautiful and I did
not even notice how the guide came. He led us into caves. For the first time in
my life I saw how water is supplied to the fountains. Then we went to the guest
room. There were figures of gods and men, and there was a table with fruits.
The guide let us try this fruits. We pulled our hands to them and then…. a fountain
splashed from the table!!! And we shouted, pulling our hands away from the
table. We laughed and went on. When we left the room, we went across the aisle
ahead of the guide. We went out of the room and there it started to rain from
the ceiling!!! We all jumped back and began to pass through the arch. In the
end, after the fountains we were wet and we were laughing. Then we went for a
walk in the park and began to pass around and decided to sit on the bench, but
guys could not do it. We went to it and fountain squirted!!! After that I got
wet completely. Conclusion from Peterhof: do not trust anything, but in general
I liked it!!! Thanks for reading.
(Editor’s note: Thank you for writing!!! We did not
quite understand what was for people who could not [to breathe, to look, to live],
but we learned that Alena is not used to wake up at 8:00 am. And let’s assume
that “wet” is “slightly splattered”).
Sidorova Alina, Angarsk:
Most of all I remembered the tour of Peterhof. I
remember fountains, golden sculptures. I wanted to go there because Peter the
Great is one of the most popular personalities in history.
(Editor’s note: for objectivity should be noted that
from the point of the history the personality of Peter the Great is not so
clear, however, we are very pleased that Alina is interested in history and has
her own priorities.)
Gert Alena, Angarsk:
Most of all I remember the tour of Peterhof. It was
fun when we passed the bench and suddenly the fountain turned on.
(Editor’s note: Alena did not mention that not just a
fountain turned on, but one of the trick-fountains, with which Peterhof is
famous for.)
Stepanova Daria, Angarsk:
Most of all I liked the walk in the Peterhof. Other
excursions were also great. Everything was great!
(Editor’s note: Well what can I say… Brevity is the
soul of wit!)
Loginov Dmitry, Sarov:
On the second day of the project, we went on a study
tour to St. Petersburg.
Acquaintance with the northern capital of Russia
started with the Museum of Artillery, military engineering and radiocommunications.
In its walls gathered more than a million of valuable and interesting items,
old, rare guns and rifles from around the world, mainly from Russia. Each
exhibit attracts attention with its unique, mesmerizing views and with the
history of the invention. I only wish that we had more time, because we did not
have time to see everything.
We also visited the great, mighty and impregnable Peter-Pavel’s
Fortress. It attracts the attention of tourists from around the world, because
under the foundation of Peter and Paul Cathedral buried greatest Russian
emperors and empresses, kings and queens and their families.
After lunch we boarded on the “Meteor” and
swam in the unique Museum-Reserve – the city of Peterhof. There we were simply
fascinated by the beauty of the fountains, flowers and favorite trick-fountains
of Peter the Great. The system operation of Peterhof fountains is amazing,
because they are arranged so the water comes out of the reservoir and directly,
without a single pump reaches the viewer’s eye. This ingenious system is made
by the difference in water levels.
I would like to pay special attention to the guides,
passionate about favorite work and giving people an unforgettable experience.
We tell them “thank you very much”!!!
The joy reigned during the trip. We remain indelible
impressions, positive emotions, and the image of St. Petersburg was painted in
the head, it is one of the greatest cities not only in Russia but also in the
world. We are enormously grateful to the organizers of the tour for this
helpful and pleasant event.
(Editor’s note: When Dmitry get tired of playing the
accordion, we urge him to take up creative writing. It will be great.
Definitely.)
Leonova Maria, Zelenogorsk:
We recently went on tour with NucKids. To Peterhof and
Artillery Museum. I really liked it, especially in the caves.
(Editor’s note: And in the caves we most liked a big
blue tube)
Sharovarchenko Ilya,
Volgodonsk:
We visited a lot of interesting in St. Petersburg
recently. This tour gave us the opportunity to learn more about the history and
attractions of St. Petersburg. First, we went to the Peter-Pavel’s Fortress,
then walked and went to church. Most of all I liked the trip to Peterhof.
Because there we learned much more new and interesting than on the other tours.
It was very interesting to learn about the architectural structures in Peterhof,
such as the beautiful large fountains that were built over the years. Overall,
I really liked the tour of St. Petersburg. I learned a lot about St. Petersburg
and
its past.
(Editor’s note: Again, pay attention that it is not
just the church, but Peter and Paul Cathedral, the burial place of Russian
tsars and emperors.)
Smirnov Andrey, Snezhinsk:
I really liked all the excursions. It was tedious, but
interesting.
(Editor’s note: This is what we like Andrew for. For
his brevity and objectivity! Keep it, Andrew!!! To make it more interesting and
less boring!)
