NUCKIDS PROJECT. ANSWERING THE QUESTIONS.

What NuclearKids project is?

Nuclear Kids is
the International children’s art project of the State Corporation “Rosatom”.
Project was created in 2009.

Every year in summer
70 talented boys and girls, children of “Rosatom” employees from all over
Russia, come together in the rehearsal base for three weeks to set and play the
professional music performance (musical).

The script and
music are original and are written specifically for the musical. In 2009 musical
was entitled «NuclearKids», in 2010 participants of the project have put the
musical “Come and See”, in 2011 appeared “Bunker of
freedom”, in 2012 – “Station «Dream»” in 2013 -“We”,
in 2014 – “Mazes of childhood” in 2015 – “Ask Rutherford”.

Who works with the children to create the musical?

Famous
producers, directors, composers, choreographers and professional teachers work
with children to create the musical. During the existence of the project we
were collaborated with Lolita, Elena Kiper, Dmitry Bikbaev, Juliana Donskaya,
Alexey Frandetti, Valeria Lanskaya, Kirill Kuzin, Vladimir Karabanov and with many
others.

Where is the rehearsal base of the project?

Location of the rehearsal
base was different: near Moscow, in the All-Russian Children’s Center “Orlenok”
on the coast of the Black Sea, in Keszthely (Hungary) on the shore of Lake
Balaton, but in the last two years the project base was located on the scenic
shore of the Gulf of Finland, near St. Petersburg, in the village of Repino.

Musical staged. What’s next?

After completion
of the stage-setting process (which lasts three weeks) project goes in a great concert
tour. During the seven years of the project participants showed performances
not only in Russian cities: St. Petersburg, Sosnovy Bor, Volgodonsk, Kurchatov,
Tomsk, Yekaterinburg, Chelyabinsk, Novovoronezh, but as well in Ukraine (Kiev),
Hungary (Paks and Keszthely), Czech Republic (Prague, Brno, České Budějovice),
Slovakia (Bratislava), Vietnam (Hanoi).

Who can participate in the Nuclear Kids project?

Children of the
State Corporation “Rosatom” employees between the ages of 11 to 16 are
invited to participate in the project.

How to get to the project?

To do this you
should:

A. In the period
up to February 20, 2016 send to the email address PVPronin@rosatom.ru a preliminary application with the following
information:

1. Full name and
surname of the candidate 2. City of residence; 3. Date of birth; 4. Age; 5. Name
of the nuclear industry organization (company) in which your parent works; 6.
Full name and surname of mother or dad; 7. Phone number; 8. E-mail address.

We need preliminary
applications in order to decide about the cities of regional selections. The
more preliminary applications of the city we’ll get, the higher the chance of
regional selection in this city.

B. After processing
of preliminary applications (until March 1, 2016) we make a decision about a
schedule, cities and places of the regional selections, we inform about this on
the official website and hit the road. All submitted preliminary applications
will be notified about the date, time and place of the regional selection in
their city via e-mail.

C. During the
regional selections the performance of all candidates is recorded on video.

D. After the end
of the regional selection, project team views all the videos and makes the
final decision on the members of the project.

What should I do if there is no regional selection in
my city?

In this case you
can participate in the extramural selection, using “send request” system on the
project’s official website, or by sending the necessary materials by e-mail.

How is the regional selection held?

Regional
selection takes place in the form of an interview in which you need to show your
skills in singing, choreography and acting. Additional skills (playing a
musical instrument, knowledge of foreign languages, etc.) are welcome. Timing
of the performance is regulated and should not exceed 5-7 minutes.

Where can I find more information about the project?

Great amount of
audio, video and photo files is stored on our official website www.nuckids.ru  in MEDIA
section. In addition, in the NEWS section you can always find current
information about the project. You can also join our group in social network “VKontakte”
www.vk.com/nuclear.kids, ask questions and chat with other participants of
the project, as well as with those who want to get on it.
