Long-awaited meeting

Five month of the project’s preparation, two months of
the regional creative competitions and some more time of agonizing waiting for
the most creative project of “ROSATOM”. All finally ended. And we started. On the
7th of July, the International Children’s Art Project “Nuclear Kids”
was officially launched for the ninth time.

For the project participants and organizers the
meeting day is long awaited, but at the same time it is very complicated and
responsible moment. Most participants begin to prepare for the project for
weeks and even for months before. The participants communicate in social
networks and share their emotions and expectations. Parents dealt with their
children equipment, documents and think what parting words to give before
leaving.

And so, on the appointed day, the young actors begin
to flock to the Northern capital. There is always a question: how to organize
the meeting of the project participants in a proper way? This is not an easy
task when you consider that this year the NusKids  project will gather 77 participants from 21
nuclear cities of Russia and 13 countries of the world. This time the project
participants were children from Bangladesh, India, China, Kazakhstan, Belarus,
Czech Republic, Hungary, USA, Netherlands, Croatia, Turkey and Lithuania.

However, for our organizers this task is quite
feasible. The meeting of the future stars of the atomic musical performance takes
place according to the verified scheme. For the leaders of the NucKids project,
the morning of the meeting day “X” begins very early. They go to the train
stations of St. Petersburg and the international airport Pulkovo in order to
meet all the participants of the project. Leaving the train car or the airport
terminal, each of the participants can see a smiling person with the cherished plate
“NUCKIDS”. To pass it through and get lost is simply impossible!

“The road to the project is always a big test for
us. Every year we have to travel by airplane thousands of miles to become part
of a new musical. As usual, early in the morning we left our hometown of
Angarsk to Irkutsk, where we successfully checked in, boarded the plane and flew
to Moscow for a transfer to an airplane to St. Petersburg. Unfortunately we
need to wait our transfer one hour more. But now, finally, we met with our
familiar friends and are ready to work hard!”

Sergey Alexandrov, 17 y.o., Angarsk

Most project participants from the foreign countries take
part in the project for the first time. For foreigners there is a problem of
adaptation to the new cultural environment, but the English-speaking translators
come to their aid.

In general, despite all the difficulties and obstacles
the participants of the “Nuckids 2017” project successfully reached St.
Petersburg, where they have to put the original and cool musical.
