Dear friends, good evening everyone!
In 2018, to celebrate the anniversary of the Nuclear Kids Project, not only the musical Lomonosov’s Scroll was prepared, but also a full-length feature film Backstage was produced. For a year we edited it, took it to Hungary for the premiere and were ready to present it in Russia, but then an unforeseen pandemic happened.
While the official premiere at Dom Kino (Headquarters of the Union of Cinematographers of the Russian Federation with lectures and screenings) is postponed for an indefinite period, we decided to hold a virtual broadcast of the movie on our YouTube channel.
When? On Sunday, April 05, 2020, at 16:00 Moscow time.
ATTENTION! The movie broadcast will not be recorded, we will show this movie just ONE TIME before the screening at Dom Kino. So if you’ve been wanting to see the movie for a long time, now is the perfect time to do so.

What is the movie BACKSTAGE about?
The world of childhood is different from the adult world. But to what extent, and what are the differences between these worlds? 80 children from 16 countries come together on a project where they have to stage a musical in a short period of time. Struggle for roles, hours of rehearsals on stage arts, vocals, choreography, hopes and sorrows, friendship and love – this is all the world of childhood. But in the musical all the children play adults whom none of the children have ever been. The adult world seems to them a mystery, frightening for some, mysterious and alluring for others. All children know that during the project they can grow up and move from the world of childhood to the adult world. But no one knows at what moment and why it happens.
So, let’s meet at 16:00 on the official NucKids YouTube channel!
