On August 5th NucKids started a tour of Russian cities. For the first time in the history of the project the kids visited Petrozavodsk, the capital of Karelia, where they presented the musical Atomic Love to the audience in the Musical Theater of the Republic of Karelia. This is what it was like:
“The performance was excellent. I am a director by second education, so it was twice as interesting for me to watch this theatrical production. I also liked the fact that the musical is made for teenagers, it will be very important for them to see their attitude to life from a distance. The project itself is unique: talented children come together and their teachers accompany them for the whole period of time, it will be remembered forever” – shared her impressions Svetlana Bachoi, Chair of the Russian Schoolchildren’s Movement in the Republic of Karelia, deputy of the Legislative Assembly of Karelia.
“This is a very sophisticated performance. The first thing I would like to emphasize is the music which is modern, stylish and unusual. Each musical number has its own specific function, and the video accompaniment is delightful. I would watch more performances, it was not enough for me”, – said the audience.
After Petrozavodsk the project participants went to St. Petersburg, the northern capital of Russia. On August 8th at 15:00 and 19:00 in the A. A. Bryantsev Theatre of the Youth Union premiere shows of the musical Atomic Love took place. It is not the first time NucKids gathers a full hall in this theater.
“Amazing musical! The scale of the work done is fascinating. In such a short time to put a professional performance with kids who may be learning the art of stage craft for the first time, it’s very impressive. An interesting script, a new, fresh look at an old story, a very unusual approach. Well done everyone!” – the audience from St. Petersburg shared their impressions.
