On August 14th, a special screening of the production For the Flag Over the Reichstag took place at the Et Cetera Theatre in Moscow for the finalists of the All-Russian project MediaPrityazhenie. The event was attended by honored guests: Sergey Novikov, the author of the project idea and and Chief of the Presidential Directorate for Social Projects of the Russian Federation; Artur Orlov, Chairman of the board of the All-Russian public-state movement of children and youth Movement of the First, and a Hero of the Russian Federation; Vladislav Golovin, head of the main staff of the All-Russian youth military-patriotic movement Young Army (Young Army Cadets National Movement). Also present were heroes and veterans of the special military operation, recipients of the Orders of Courage and For Merit to the Fatherland.
On August 15th and 16th, the nuclear kids performed two shows each day for the participants’ parents, project veterans, mentors from previous years, and longtime supporters. Before each performance, visitors in the lobby could pick up a copy of Vyacheslav Bavidov’s book For the Flag Over the Reichstag, personally signed by the author for those who desired. Additionally, there was a photo booth where guests, dressed in traditional Russian folk costumes, could take commemorative photos or record short video clips to the song Zoya from the musical.
In total, more than two thousand spectators attended the performances in Moscow. Each time, our nuclear kids received loud and prolonged ovations after the shows. The audience was deeply impressed by the work accomplished in such a short time. Nuclear Kids once again proved that talent and hard work can make the impossible possible.
