Year of the Defender of the Fatherland in the Atom Pavilion

Today, the International Creative Project for Children Nuclear Kids hosted the official part of the final industry event dedicated to the Year of the Defender of the Fatherland in the conference hall of the ATOM Museum.

NucKids opened the event by performing the National Anthem of the Russian Federation.  Alexey Likhachev, Director General of ROSATOM State Atomic Energy Corporation, addressed the audience and presented state awards to participants of the special military operation. He also presented flowers to the widows and wives of heroes, assisted by the nuclear children.

Welcoming remarks were delivered by Tatiana Terentyeva, Deputy Director General for Personnel of ROSATOM; Konstantin Denisov, Deputy Director General for Security of ROSATOM; Yuri Khabrov, Executive Director of the Defenders of the Fatherland Foundation; and Guards Lieutenant General Vitaly Podlesny, a participant in the Time of Heroes program.

The creative part of the ceremony featured performances by Nuclear Kids. The children performed songs from the musical For the Flag Over the Reichstag: Only Forward!, I’m With You, and Native Land.  The nuclear kids also performed the song Give Him Strength together with ST.

The NucKids performances made the ceremony heartfelt and meaningful. An integral part of the event was the live musical accompaniment by the project’s children’s orchestra under the direction of conductor Igor Razumovsky. The themes and messages of the songs served as a leitmotif, linking the officials’ speeches and transforming the ceremony into a unified artistic statement – summing up achievements and launching new projects dedicated to the Defenders of the Fatherland.
