Artem Devichev

My name is Artyom, and I am the younger brother of Andrey Devichev. There are four of us in the family. Valera, the eldest, is graduating this year from Saint Petersburg State University of Industrial Technologies and Design. Marik is a second-year student at a military academy, also in Saint Petersburg. Andrey is passionate about dance, and his admission to Saint Petersburg was the reason our family moved there.  Since childhood, theater has been my passion. I dreamed of the stage, and after I enrolled, my life revolved around theater. At six years old, I started music school. At one of the concerts, I was noticed by Alexander Kononov, the director of the Fakel Theater and an Honoured Artist. He invited me to join the theater. His passing was a great loss, but he remains forever in my memory as my first teacher and a kind person. Singing, participating in every contest, certificates and awards – these have all been part of my life. In 2024, we moved to Kaliningrad, an important milestone. There, I found true friends and a theater to which I dedicate all my free time. One of the brightest moments was receiving praise from a director who rarely gives compliments. He told me I would become a good actor. His words had a big impact on me during a time when I was doubting whether I should move to Saint Petersburg. His encouragement inspired me and rekindled a fire inside me that was almost fading.
