THE NUCLEAR KIDS HAD TO LEARN HOW TO SAY HELLO?!

No, it’s not a lack of education at all. On the contrary, Nuclear Kids 2011 are an example of what a new age person should be: smart, open, incredibly talented, sincere and direct, with good taste and a kind heart. Why should we teach them the elementary rules of culture? And here’s why! To discover the acting talent, each child had to come up with an interesting image, and wish good health to the “strict” teaching team. Acting teachers Tatiana Solntseva and Alexei Kostrichkin, as well as the most musical person of the project – vocal specialist David Todua will take part in this class.

It seems easy, doesn’t it? But it wasn’t! The polite characters chosen by Nuclear Kids had to be absolutely original, not to repeat each other’s emotions and to create a vivid, distinctive image. Joy, resentment, fear, shyness, coquetry, anger and even outright rudeness – what only the creative team could see! I must say that the teachers did their best to evoke such a rainbow of emotions: they were humorous and strict, they laughed and portrayed discontent, they got into the image of negligent students, admirers or second halves, showing by example how to catch an emotion by the tail. Tatiana, David and Alexei gave the kids such a powerful creative message that they instantly relaxed, and were sometimes even surprised at their own talents. “The teachers just grabbed my heart – says Sasha from Novosibirsk. – They are so cool. I am especially surprised when they watch the performances. They love what we do, and we’re just kids. Yes, they look at us and get excited. And immediately you feel like: we are doing good!” Indeed, coming to the project, many kids had the hobby of singing or dancing. Some of them were excellent actors, others rap well, some showed amazing acrobatic pieces. But the “malicious” teachers “forced” the children to discover the whole range of talents in themselves. It was incredibly shocking that children who had never been engaged in the theater studio, suddenly transformed from insecure teenagers into pop stars, soloists of world jazz-bands, self-confident beauties and handsome lads, who can do anything. And some dancers realized that they can still sing quite well only on stage!

“Today’s impressions are super powerful! – shares Tatiana Solntseva. You can see that there was a huge selection, because all those children who are now next to us, have simply unique abilities. At the same time, they are relaxed enough to work and interact with each other perfectly. It’s really great when people are in such a friendly bond!”. We must say that counselors put some effort to make the kids feel relaxed. Masha from Sosnovy Bor says that “when we arrived on the first day, everything was absolutely confusing: there were so many kids around, so many things… But we have such cool counselors that on the second day the whole group became friends. We even remembered all the names! This happens in ordinary camps at least a week later. We already actively make friends with kids from other countries – Bulgaria, Vietnam…It’s so great!”. It is true: in a creative camp, where there are only creative people (not surprisingly!), there is an absolutely friendly, warm, positive atmosphere. You could even call it a working mood. The children are already burning with the idea of a musical and rushing the teachers. Zhenya from Glazov says that “I’m already so eager to put on a musical that I just can’t wait! I want everyone to participate!”, and Anton from Nizhny Novgorod states: “we will definitely make such an original musical that no one has ever had!”. The teachers have no doubts about it, and David Todua is absolutely delighted with the young talents: “I get goosebumps all day long because of how talented they are! You look into the eyes of these kids, realize their talent and understand that this world has a future!”. After such a reference from their favorite teacher, the children should definitely create a “atomic” musical… However, before starting the script and roles, there is still a lot to learn. And that’s exactly what the creative team and the gifted Nuclear Kids will do tomorrow. There are 29 days left until the premiere of the musical…
