STAGING THE MUSICAL IS NOT AN EASY TASK

Staging the musical is not an easy task.Each participant of the project should present not
only the creativity, but also be patient and attentive to the details. Perhaps
the musical is the most difficult theatrical genre, because the actor on the
stage need to be a drama actor, a singer and a dancer as well.

The musical can not  be magined without music. Songs are the key
part of it. At the right time, songs and melodies transmit the feelings of
heroes, all the dance parts are combined by music. The best
songs of all the Nuckids project years are learned by the newcomers thoroughly
and are passed “from generation to generation”, so the newcommers
easily sing along the hits of the past. The vocal teacher Elena Ustimenko is
making her best the nuclear singers to sparcle at the musical performance.

 “We’ve already learned four
songs, and it’s only 9 days have left. I like working with our teacher very
much. She is a great professional, she knows how to find an approach to a
child, how to reveal their abilities. For example, she helps me to cope with my
breaking voices. This, however, is not good, because now I can not pull out the
notes that I got to before. But it’s nothing wrong! We still have a lot of work
ahead, many interesting songs and a lot of good mood! “

The NucKids musicals are famous for its dancing parts.
Every year the audience is breathtaking by the performance.

However, not everyone can imagine how difficult it is
to stage the musical.  For the last 8
years, the choreography for our performances has been directed by Maxim
Nedolechko, the head of the Moscow dance group StreetJazz. Maxim is loved by
all children, both small and big kids. With his charisma, he attracts everyone
and can teach anyone to dance. And, believe me, even not the most graceful
people discover a talent of a dancer under the leadership of Max.

«From the very first days we started to
work on dances. Already now we have staged seven numbers, this is a very  good start. Now we need to continue to work
and not to loose the pace. But I have no doubt that everything will be very
cool. After all, Max works with us, and he perfectly knows how to focus us on
the  result. I really like the fighting
spirit! We will continue to fight! “

But what should do the kids who did not
get the roles of the main characters due to some or another reason? Or were not
included in the main dance or vocal groups? As our tutors used to say: “Everybody
will go on the stage. And many times! ” As planned by the script writer
and the musical director Vladimir Karabanov, the musical action takes place in
Moscow. We can meet there crowds of tourists, people meeting at the train stations
and common metropolitan gapers as well. There are a lot of mass scenes in the
musical, its production is very complicated and very fascinating at the same
time.

Now we are engaged in the production of large
scale scenes. It is rather difficult to rehearse them. The fact is that there
are a lot of guys there and they need to be organized in a proper way. In my
oppinion Maxim, our choreographer, does an incredible work. The participants’ dance
skills are different, but he stages a simple and clear choreography. And in the
end we get an excellent result. It’s just amazing! “

In general the NuclearKids2017 musical is staging
at full speed. We are working hard! And we have to wait for the premiere, which
will come in 16 days.
