After the project participants were warmly received in Zheleznogorsk and Zelenogorsk, after the kids admired the beauty of the Krasnoyarsk region, we went on the road again. The next city that hosted the musical Imagineers of the XXI Century was Kurchatov.
To get there, the project participants had to endure a difficult flight again. The wake up time was (it is scary to say!) at 3 o’clock in the morning. All because only morning flights depart from Krasnoyarsk to Moscow. However, it did not frighten our kids in any way, but only energized them. When else will they be able to make such a trip together? Besides, before departure, in the evening, the participants and counselors gathered near the boarding house Above Yenisei and in a warm and friendly atmosphere performed their favorite songs to the guitar. Naturally, such a uniting and heartfelt event tuned us all up for the hard road ahead.
The flight from Krasnoyarsk to Moscow took about four and a half hours. To the delight of the project hosts and counselors, all the kids fell asleep as soon as they got on the plane. The long way to the airport, the early rise, a busy excursion in Krasnoyarsk the day before, and, of course, the premiere in Zheleznogorsk, which was played very well. Anyway, after a sweet sleep the participants were waiting for an unforgettable excursion to the most famous fountains of Moscow. Having admired the beauty of the city, the young artists went on the road again. After all, our capital is still just a small stop on the way to Kurchatov.
Nuclear Kids Project has already been on tour in Kurchatov. It happened in 2012. Then the kids presented a musical called Dream Station to the local audience. Now, 4 years later we arrive again in this wonderful city!
“Kurchatov welcomed us with a rainstorm! However strange it may seem, it was very cool! Because after the Moscow heat we really wanted something fresh and cool. I liked the city very much. It seemed incredibly cozy, simple and somehow homely. I was also struck by the fact that the air in Kurchatov is very clean. There is nothing like it in Moscow, Chelyabinsk or Hanoi”.
Le Anh Vu, 15 years old from Vietnam
Now, several runs are over, several technical rehearsals have been successfully held, the children are ready, and the creative team is waiting for the next epic performance. Such an impression that an hour before the premiere all Kurchatov gathered in the foyer of the local Cultural Center. Residents of the city simply could not miss another performance from the best “atomic” kids of the country. Among other things, the very first participants of the project came to evaluate the efforts of our young artists: the children who used to be a part of NucKids 2009.
“The premiere was absolutely fantastic! A very beautiful and vibrant performance! The most important thing is that the audience loved it too. Many people I know asked me for tickets a couple of weeks in advance, they really wanted to go to the premiere. Compared to the very first year, 2009, a lot has changed. Back then we were just starting to work on the project, we were trying many things for the first time. Now I see that the musical has become much more professional and original. But the main thing is that we still have that friendly and warm atmosphere, which we started at the very beginning”.
Danil Ermakov, participant of the project NucKids 2009 and 2010.
I will admit honestly, when you watch the musical Imagineers of the XXI Century in the next city of our tour, it seems that it is simply impossible to play better. However, it is not the case! In each new city, in each new place the project participants manage to prove to me, the creative team, and all the audience that they are able to give one hundred percent and rock the hall with their energy.
The premiere in Kurchatov was no exception. Once again, the hall is packed and the audience shows unlimited interest, emotions flow over the top, energy pours from the stage and the artists play their smallest role to its full capacity. Consistency is a sign of mastery. In addition, our heroes definitely have a lot of skill! The musical goes on in one breath: the musical performances fascinate, the dramatic scenes touch every spectator to the core. After the performance, some of the participants have tears of happiness from the work done.
“Emotions from the premiere in Kurchatov are just off the charts! I can’t describe exactly what I’m feeling right now. On the one hand, of course, it is endless joy and pride that we have made such a cool and professional performance. On the other hand, it is a slight sadness, because we will soon have to part and go to our home cities. However, I try not to think about the latter for now. As for today’s performance, it went well! Kurchatov audience was very warm and received us just great. Kurchatov is the best! Kurchatov rocks!”
Karina Ivakhnenko, 14 years old from Volgodonsk
Another premiere has been played, the kids are waiting for the next one and, unfortunately, it is the last point in the touring schedule. Very soon, our jolly crowd will go to Moscow to present the musical Lomonosov’s Scroll to the capital audience for the last time. Kurchatov, see you later! You were great!
